Hard-working is the phrase that comes to mind when I think about Aveen. I’ve had the pleasure of knowing Aveen for six months, during which he worked as an Analyst on my investment team. Above all, I was impressed with Aveen’s ability to analyze and effectively present and convey his findings. And, of course, his drive to do more. Aveen would be a true asset for any positions looking for investment analysts or requiring hard working public speakers with an interest in modern and new age technology and that comes with my heartfelt recommendation.

General Partner & CEO at Fenox Venture Capital

I have known Aveen Saif for the last five years. His father and I are on the Board of Directors of a US registered 501 (c)(3) charitable organization www.bachaohelp.org which funds projects in Bangladesh that provide health care, education, and vocational training to the needy and underprivileged in Bangladesh targeting specifically women and children.

As a college administrator for the last twenty plus years, I am always looking for motivated young people that I can mentor formally or informally to help them get into higher education and eventually become productive members of society and good citizens. I always noticed that Aveen was very interested is how he and his friends could help in the mission of BACHAO (the name of our charitable organization). Recently, I created a BACHAO Ambassadors Program with an inaugural group of nine members with ages ranging from 16-20. During the formal training programs, I noticed that even though Aveen was not the oldest he was clearly one of the leaders of the group. Within days, he created a website called www.bachaobuddy.com as well as a group email so all the BACHAO ambassadors could communicate with each other on a regular basis. While the amount raised through the bachao buddy website is not very substantial, it is the effort and the desire to help which are worth noting. And, it certainly has to potential to raise much more in the future.

Aveen is one of those natural leaders who is not only able to think very clearly but motivate others to work together for a common purpose. For better or worse, members of generation Z are a little more focused on their roles in improving society along with maintaining good grades and I am very encouraged by this phenomenon. Aveen is one of those rare young people to whom making a difference is equally as important as well as motivating his peers to do the same. As someone who has interacted with several thousand young men and women for over twenty years as an academic advisor, a college administrator, a mentor, and a faculty member, I would place Aveen in the top 20% of students with whom I have had the privilege of working. He has great potential and will succeed in whatever major he selects because he will channel his formal training into what he loves best—helping those less fortunate than himself.

Assistant Dean, Undergraduate Business Programs at University of California, Riverside

I had the pleasure of working with Aveen as a fellow mentor on the Bangladeshi American Charitable Organization (BACHAO) Ambassador group. Throughout the 5+ years that I had worked with Aveen, what stood out to me is his ability to lead with passion, professionalism, and purpose. Aveen is a thoughtful leader, who takes the time to make calculated decisions based on the best possible outcome. Furthermore, his organizational and analytical skills drove projects forward to completion in an efficient, cost-effective manner. If you have had the chance to meet Aveen, you would have noticed, right away, his astute passion for every project he takes on, making working with him an absolute pleasure.
